Product Description Originally developed by the German government as an economical form of transportation, the iconic Volkswagen Beetle became the most popular car in the world. It was consistently modified and improved throughout its production, but the basics of the car remained the same. It was inexpensive to run and very reliable. In the 1960s, it was a symbol of the “hippie” generation. This Revell model kit features a detailed 1500 cc rear mounted engine with opening hood, positional front wheels, and optional right- or left-hand driving positions. It is molded in white and clear with chrome plated parts and soft black tires. Requires paint and glue (not included).
